3.5" HDD question.

Okay, so I have a 1.5TB 3.5" SATA HDD sitting here not getting much use...no use really.
PS3 game disc's rip way quicker to internal as opposed to external HDD and compatibility seems far better.
So why not just do something like this...

I mean it's the same as having an external caddy...but it's really an internal.

the ps3 only support 1tb has far has i understand.

Im planing on doing this with 1tb HDD and with a ps slim the only thing would be to attach the male data cable to the ps3 since its kinda far inside besides that yea welcome 1tb hdd outside for less heat too...

if anyone have done this plz post pics and experience how u did it with a slim especially since for the phat is that team Xcuter extender

Not only does this solution provide less heat by having the hdd outside the console, the hdd is powered by an outside source.

This a very easy DIY mod that can be done by simply removing the males from an old PCI card and using some brains, could look very stock if you have a little talent...just like the Xcuter extender.
We're just extending a ****ing sata port outside the console to make an external drive function as an internal drive!
It's not rocket science.

Stick with your slow USB externals with low compatibility...I could give a shit.
