3.15 jailbreak

New to the PS3 modding scene. my ps3 is on 3.15 firmware.
how do I jailbreak it? Can I use a usb to do this?

I'm sorry if there is already a thread for this but I did try searching and didn't really find anything.

Unless you care about OtherOS, update to 3.55 and install kmeaw CFW.

PSN won't work with backup disks but I can still go online with real disks without risking being banned or no?

if I want to use PSN can I just go back to stock firmware and it will work again?

You will have to goto OFW 3.60 which has no CFW or downgrade.

yeah, you would need the latest OFW, which is 3.60 right now, and you will get PSN. but that means no more CFW

ok. i think it's worth it, i really dont play much online.

if you wanna stay on 3.15 look up MFW builder install and create your own firmware, thats what I did. I mean if I updated then Id lose the ability to play all my old ps2 games on my old fat. I know kmeaw 3.55 is compatible with packages and games, but I dont want to lose all these features sony has been deleting of the original old systems. just my view.

my ps3 phat is the model that wasn't backwards compatiable in the first place
