well i jailbreakd my ps3 and when im trying to play battelfieldbadcompany 2
its asking my to update the game (i think its the game! )
to version 1.05 (in pes its to 1.02).
the update is 1.7 gig, shud i updgrade ? that will do somthing bad to my ps3 XD?

If you are on 3.41 and you are using a Jailbreak dongle with a backup manager to mount the game and launch it as BluRay game then the only problem by updating a game is the possibility that the downloaded update is built for a firmware higher than 3.41 and in that case you wont be able to launch the game but you can always delete the game data and that way the update is gonna get deleted as well so you'll be able to launch the retail version number again.
I backed up FIFA11 yesterday and installed it's latest update and there was no problem running it as what seems the SFO (a file inside the game folder USRDIR) to say, it's built for FW 3.30
If you're on 3.55 and you're using a custom firmware and the install pkg method then by downloading an update you're actually going to overwrite the executable you installed with the PKG on the game folder, thus, it will be unmodified and not launchable as PSN game (it will dissapear from XMB as well). So don't update your games if you're on 3.55 just yet (this will change in the future)

So you're on 3.41 usb jailbreak?
Just download the update and see if it's running. You can also go with your backup manager (if it has a file browser and a hex viewer as multiMAN has) to hdd0/game/PESgameid and inside there it will be an SFO file along with the EBOOT. If you hex view the SFO file you'll notice a number that will propably be the firmware the EBOOT (the updated) requires.
You can delete this whole folder (with the gameid of pes) in hdd0/game/ and the update is gone. You can also delete it from the XMB with game data utility
This should help for the PES11 in english. download both parts and copy to the userdir
