0n 3.55 ofw wont let me install 3.55 cfw

Ok bought a ps3 running 3.50 ofw.Installed 3.55 ofw through usb stick no probs.Went to update again 3.55kmeaw updates to 100 % and then says no need to update on 3.55 ?Tried in safe mode also same response what im doinmg wrong

First thing, Recovery Mode, not safe mode.

Make sure your flash drive is FAT32 and the hierarchy is this:

X:/PS3/UPDATE/UPDAT.PUP

go to the recovery menu and do software update. make sure the flash drive is the only thing connected to the ps3 (except the controller) and put the drive on the usb port farthest to the right for precautions.

hmm.. it should have worked in recovery mode

if anything just keep on trying..

it's a common thing if "the update was not found" on the usb during recovery mode.. but i havent heard or come across that message.. only via the xmb it would say that "there's no need to update"

also in the past i have used a usb hub device and installed cfw without any problems.. but if it still doesn't seem to work then try what master stated by inserting the usb into the furthest usb port on the right side of your console.

Got it sussed had to press start and select at the same time in safe mode kmeaw now installed
