****PSN VS rebug spoof package differences?
****PSN VS rebug spoof package differences? –
Hi, I was wondering what the difference between the two are? Are they just two approaches to the same problem?
I guess ****PSN doesn't require installing a package other than dev_blind, though you have to run a server on a local machine. Can anyone give/point to any details? Is one more method more secure than the other?
I think the main difference is the Rebug version is more n00b friendly, but doesn't seem to offer the same compatibility as f***Psn.
Now with f***Psn, you need to swap certificate files on your PS3. The problem with that is if you ever go to a higher firmware, those certs are f***ed, and you would need a downgrader to get back online with that machine once f***Psn gets fixed, if it gets fixed.
Hi, thanks for the info, that's very useful! FYI, ****psn's instructions are to back up the cert by renaming the old one .bak So I presume I can just swap it back to the original and it should be like ****psn never existed....
Yes, that should be correct!
