[SOLVED] I can't enter recovery mode??

I'm supposed to install kmeaw cfw. I did install OFW 3.55 (before that i had 3.41). Now I should enter recovery mode, but for some reason I can't...

Here is what i have done:

1. I shut down ps3 from XMB by holding on / off button until it shuts down.
2. I turn it on by holding same button. It beebs once, after about 5 seconds it beebs again, but only once. If I keep holding it beebs once and ps3 shuts down.

If I release after second beep it enters HDMI setup and after accepting settings it enters to XMB... so no recovery mode for me.

I'm running PS3 slim 120g.

No disc in drive and nothing plugged in usb (p3go etc...)

When it comes to HDMI screen you are reseting it.

PS3 Off >> hold power >> dont release until it turns off again >> hold power again dont release until you here 2 beeps together.

Ignore any single beeps.

Hold until goes off
release
hold until TWO beeps together

I'm on a slim 120 that had stock 3.40. i updated to 3.41 and use a minimus for JB.

I also tried to get into recovery mode the other night and did exactly what your saying, the only problem is when you turn the slim on you get a single beep after a few seconds and if you carry on holding the power button it turns off... ?

HDMI plugged in, Game in drive, Dongle was plugged in....

Remove game and dongle, and do above.

When holding power it should go through some beeps and turn off, then you press it again, it will still single beep, but keep holding it until you get 2 beeps.

OK. Managed to enter recovery mode...

Here is haow managed to do it:

1. First turn off ps3.

2. Now press on / off button until it beebs it shuts down again.

3. Then press on / off until you hear double beep. After double beep, just release button.
