[need help] stuck in nothing but recovery mode

Hi,

i have an PS3 Fat (came with much earlier version than 3.50) i tried to update the system to 3.55 but it got stuck on 64% because i have no bluray drive so i thought i just format it and tada but no...

if i press the power button it starts it does nothing and turns off again. i can access the recovery mode menu but no matter what option, it will fail...

i tried update from usb in recovery mode but it says 8002f281 also called hard disk inaccessible...

i have been trying things over 13 hours now... this is my list:

- tryed short/long format to NTFS
- tryed format to FAT32
- tryed an uber long low level format
- tried 7 different usb sticks
- tried fw 3.55, 3.41 (also a special version for people without an bluray drive)
- tried praying
- tried hating
- tried asking friends
- googled for hours


considering to:

- buy e3 card reader
- posting this thread
- bring it to a local console repair place
- get it into service mode


any help will be loved!

You can solve this by going into service mode and updating with a blu-ray-less update .pup.

First you need a way to get into service mode. ex Iphone/Ipod touch. Android. psp, a dongle, ti-84 and other things.
Then you need the two lv2diag.self and the update made for blurayless ps3s

STEPS

1)Get into service mode using the device of your choice
2)Format a flashdrive and place the first lv2.diag.self and the .pup on the root of the flash drive. (ONLY THOSE TWO FILES!)
3)Put the flashdrive in right most usb slot and turn on PS3. Wait while it updates. (Usally 10 minutes at max. It'll shutoff when it's done)
4)It should succeed so now empty the flash drive and place the secound lv2.diag.self on it and place in right mode slot and turn on your ps3.

i got an android galaxy s 2, ipod touch 4g, psp, but how to do this? (i prefer using my android phone)

Hmm.... Seems like you can use a Ipod touch 4g and the ports for Galaxy S and PSP died. Anything else you have from this list?

Either somehow barrow any of those devices from a friend or buy yourself a good ps3 dongle (Real cheap ~$7)
Sorry, but I think you might of to spend a little money. Just a tiny amount. Its nothing and its still good to have one just in case.
