Okey i followed this guide: http://psgroove.com/showthread.php?5...ast-and-Secure But when im done i gett the error msg: "DNS error 80710102 " so do enyone have a tip for me how to fix this? been testing all day!

Try these settings http://psx-scene.com/forums/511865-post4.html (Using FTP server, without connecting the ps3 to the internet, is that possible) and I dont use a crossover cable ande get over 200Mbps

I gett that dns error but when i try to connect to the ftp it says something like ftp diddent repsond on 15 sec

i used to have a minute ago.
On Logan's tool, hit the STOP PROXY button, wait a few seconds, then START PROXY once again.
It worked for me.

I havent set up proxy? i use gaia

Don't do it through gaia, use a PS3 ftp server.

installed Ps3 ftp server still dont work this is the message in winscp:
host is not communicating for more than 15 seconds still waiting... Warning aborting this operation will close connection

edit: Do i need a internet connection to?? like pc have wifi and cabel port to ps3? or is it possible to do this without internet?

This setting is wrong

IP address and gateway cant be the same (gateway must be blank)
DNS must be blank (because you are trying to avoid externall connections, you dont want DNS)

IP address just need to be in another range than the router

Im supposing that the PC has 2 network cards (one of them is dedicated for the PS3, and the other connects to the router)

Very easy.

PC Config:
IP: 10.1.1.1
Subnet: 255.0.0.0
No Gateway
No Subnet

PS3 Config:
IP: 10.1.1.2
Subnet: 255.0.0.0
Gateway: (if you cant leave blank) 10.1.1.1

On your PC, open FTP client, Connect to 10.1.1.2 No username, no password, Port 21
