Did you make a backup of your dev_flash (1-3) before downgrading? Cause the easiest way to restore it is just to copy back over a backup of your dev_flash3 folder to your PS3 via a FTP server.

Other then that and the link I gave you before, those are the only 2 ways to restore your blu-ray playback.

As of right now, that's as noob-friendly as getting your bluray drive to work again. It's not hard trust me. Its just takes time for a beginner. Just follow EVERY instruction as if your life depended on it. If you still don't understand it, I'm pretty sure they're tutorials on YouTube.

Nope, it's been reported that it doesn't restore blu-ray playback.

@Twisty: It only happens to the phats. It's because the downgrade process does a blind write to everything and overwrites the DRL files. On slims, there is no issue with it because the blu-ray drive section of the firmware gets skipped.

I've been trying to figure out why, searched Google for about 30 seconds , but it's only on certain fat PS3s here:

I was paranoid and made a backup of my dev_flash0-3 after being in the psp scene always having to make nand backups. But I thing the link I posted above should work too, if the one Chesh posted is a lil bit too hard for him.

EDIT: nvm, Chesh posted why they lose bluray playback. And the remarry won't work with the link I posted.
