    [lang=nl]gisteren kocht ik een slim CECH-2504A ps3,

CECH-2504A downgrade does not work, stuck in a fashion fatory!
And somewhere else there is a Ralph Lauren sweater stuck in an electronics factory and unable to dye to last seasons totally still in colour!

I believe your model is undowngradable. Just wait for signed unofficial .PUPs, .PKGS and EBOOT.BINs to appear

Could he update back to official 3.50 by going to service mode and updating from there with the PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP method ?

All he has to do is put the 2nd .self on his USB and boot the PS3. It should exit service mode that way. Otherwise he can flash the 3.50 .PUP using the downgrade method.

i was already able to get out of factory mode by putting self 2 on usb.
But then my ps3 was not bootable anymore and i had to connect my controller and put the official 3.50 update to usb and then go back to 3.50.

Now im still on 3.50, also tried to downgrade to 3.15 debug but my ps3 hdd just doesn't read a thing from my memorystick.

Didn't you read my first post? Your PS3 is not downgradeable. Just wait for the unofficial signed homebrew to come along in the next few months.

It would surprise me if it took a few months.

However I have been surprised by a lot of things recently, so who knows.
Make sure you butter the non reflective side of your CD's / DVD's and Blu-Rays so that when you drop them, they land butter side down thus preventing scratches.

Fail0verflow has said that they "will release the tools in January or so" so I don't think that we will have to wait a few months. Heres a guy asking the question Twitter and here's Fail0verflow answering him Twitter
