It would require an update first, I think.
if anythng, they will do the same thing like the psp, but we will patch it of course, cuz we could make CFW for virtually any fw now so SONY is goonna have trouble...but i dnt wanna get banned :/
None of the firmwares have the infrastructure needed to ban consoles on a massive scale because Sony just never saw a breach of security this massive coming their way. They might ban individuals who really come to attention, like say those manage to turn footballs into goats on FIFA online or something, but otherwise you should be safe until the next firmware update.
You should be aware that your pushlist tells PSN what you are doing.
Have a friend tell you what he sees when you fire up snes9x over PSN. He will see, "Friend is playing snes9x!"
If your friend can see if over PSN, obviously so can Sony. I'm not sure they'll ban over homebrew, seems kinda silly considering it would just be lost revenue for them.
They should just ban cheaters. I don't see why they have to ban anyone else. There's not many people on PSN as it is.
To be honest, I don't really miss playing multiplayer games a lot, I just prefer SP games usually. However I would love to be able to buy games and DLC on PSN. I suppose I'm just a bit too shortsighted here, but that doesn't seem like something that would hurt Sony at all :P.
if you like a game alot and you finished the singleplayer theres more in mp. its always more fun on mp with real people xD. ive always been playing games online on my pc. and imo, if a game with really good and has multiplayer, i would go and actually buy it. i doubt a ban hammer is comming. they probobly will up their security when u order games like cd keys or something. just a guess
