Correct. A reboot fixes the problem. But honestly you wont be watching a BluRay movie while you're playing a backup, so it's not a real huge deal.

If you switch, do you have the delete all installed DLC as well?

I don't know about DLC , you can try, if you get freezes then you need to delete that DLC

Nah thats cool, its just after the recent loss of bluray playback on my phat one I wanted to make sure it weren't permanent, cheers.

Credit goes to user: TheAnswer on IRC in #ps3test for the syscall35. Many are using the new syscall35 and it is working for games. I'm sure there are BM creators who are working on adding this into future releases of BMs.
