Hey im having trouble getting shoutcast to work.
I get the error could not resolve hostname.
My current setup is my ps2 connected straight to my computer via a crossover cable and having my wireless shared.
For network settings I have these:
    ip- 192.168.0.10
    subnetmask- 255.255.255.0
    gateway- 192.168.0.1
    dns- 192.168.0.1

    ok:
    ip is default
the gateway is the ip of my lan connection on my desktop
    subnetmask is default
dns is the same ip as my computer (my comp should auto assign it the same dns because of sharing right?) well incase it didnt i put in my actual DNS server anyways and both failed with unable to resolve hostname.
If anyone can tell me if i got something setup wrong please do

i went thru and changed my settings on my ps2 so it would act like a normal computer on the network. still no luck (infact i cant connect to it via ftp this way)

forgot to mention: using myPS2 vs 1.0 and running off MC

i launch it via toxicos .41 browser

I can get mine on FTP but not on Shoutcast, perhaps I will try that.

Edit* Tried retyping everything, still unable to resolve hostname. Everything else is working beautifully.

The only way I could get Shoutcast working was to put my ISP's DNS address in myps2 config. It wouldn't work with my Networks DNS address (i.e. 192.168.1.1).

Thanks Tec, worked on this problem for 3 days and your method worked great. I just googled for Bellsouth's DNS adress, found the instructions for getting it, and now I'm good to go.

Well..i went to a dns lookup site and using my ip found the name of knology's dns, then searched that name for the dns information, but it still isnt working.

*edit* Logged into the router from Firefox, and went to the WAN Status, it gives the DNS.

    Internet Radio is awesome!
