Now that other partitions can be recognized, I think that a partition manager would be the next step, wherein new partitions could be created, renamed, and deleted. If there is any way to increase the startup times, it would be better as a boot elf. Maybe a small elf could be placed on the MC as the boot.elf which would just load the HDD irx files and use a cnf file to find the location on the HDD of the larger myps2 elf and skins - kinda like the way it starts now, only instead of loading the irx files and then loading the skins off the MC, it would load them right from the hdd. Speaking of startup, perhaps a particular background song could be chosen to play when the program starts? I also think it would be good to have an exit to boot browser or PS2 brower option.

There seem to be issues about loading other elfs from this elf. I tried a few programs that I frequently use only to see "Load Failed" appear. Also, some kind of one button program launcher or "recently used program" list to expedite starting other programs would be very handy. While customizing the skins I stumbled across a piece of unused code in the My Programs section called "Shortcuts" and I wondered what it was originally for. I believe it would be easier to manage files if instead of marking each file and moving over to another menu, you could push another button corresponding to copy, paste, delete, and rename - OR after marking the files, a dialog box of choices could appear by pushing Start for example.

A dixv movie player, HDLoader functionality, and a cheat device (to compete with the new Toxis OS) are all possible future expansions, but I wouldn't expect such radical additions so soon. But something simpler might be a text editor to modify the .xml files right there - it can be a pain running back and forth from computer to PS2 with a pendrive.

an internet browser with keyboard and mouse device support would be nice. Or something like a MS Win OS just without a desktop. Menu navigation is good enough.

Forgot to mention: For any kind of file browsing, it would be great to have tabs for each media device/partition, so you could switch between them with like R1 and L1 instead of having to click on a bunch of ".." to get all the way back to the root directories.

i would like to be able to boot myps2 directly as my boot.elf, also i'd like for the mp3 player to play all my music files instead of just one at a time, like put all my mp3 files in one folder and just play them one after another til it's done. That would make it even better than it is now.

I just set it as the default ELF in LaunchELF and set the timeout to 5secs. since most of the time I am doing 7 other things it boots right to MyPS2 without me noticing.

You can go into My Programs and go to mc0: BxDATA-SYSTEM/BOOT.ELF
When I go to run Launchelf, it freezes, but KL seems to work fine, then I go to Launchelf thru KL.

Ive just tried the new LaunchELF release, version 3.41t. This didnt freeze for me like the previous versions. Dont know if has got something to do with the IOP reset thing. I aint got a clue about that tho. All I know is that the new one works for me.
