I have a short question to ask (below if you want you can read the tests I've made).
The USB support doesn't work for me so I'm testing different *.IRX.
The USBD.IRX file MUST have this name or can I use a custom one (eg.: npm-usbd.irx) without renaming it (just setting the path in the options)?

Because I would like to know if it doesn't work because there is an incompatibility with my USB stick or because I'm doing something wrong with the software.

    __
The tests I've made are related to those two problems:

    1) USB support not working

Concerning the USB support (which is my main interest) i can even launch the myPS2.ELF from USB (using launch.ELF) but myPS2 doesn't recognize any usb stick (tested an old one and a new one).
I have to say that I can only launch myPS2 from USB using the older stick (which has no brand on it) while using a "myflash" USB stick, also launch.ELF don't see it.

In the first place I've used the USBD.IRX I've found in the HDL retail disk but it doesn't work (eve if the program loads fine).
Then, since the "myflash" USB stick work great with the photo mode in GT4 (I've downloaded several pictures from the game without any problem) I've tryed to use the USBD.IRX that I've found on the GT4 disk. Anyway this prevent myPS2 to load (I just have a black screen; I've tryed to wai for several minutes but there may be an incompatibility between the USBD.IRX from the GT4 DVD and myPS2).

Actually I've tested every *.IRX I've found on the GT4 disk (since my USB stick DO works with the photo mode in GT4 and I can download pictures take in the game on my USB stick) but actually I don't know if I must rename every *.IRX to USBD.IRX or if I just need to set the path.
(just setting the path doens't work, already tested, I can give you the *.IRX name if you need).

    2) It doesn't read all the CD's content
I saw that it does read some CDs (eg.: the one I use to launch the exploit, the Tekken cd) but not other like GT4 (maybe because it's a dvd9?), the retail HDL, or home made CDs. I must say that the home made CD is one with SNES ROMs fully working with SNES station (so it's not a CD problem, since it has the dummy file an so on). Anyway this is a minor problem for me since this is not my main interest if I'll be able to use the USB support.

I'll really appreciate any help given about the USB problem.

make sure that the irx name is in all caps. use whatever case it is in the readme file. i had the problem and renaming the file using the correct case (i think it was all caps) worked for me. and i just renamed the irx file usbd.irx, not npm-usbd.irx. i didnt know what dir to put it in so i just threw it in a lot and then set the path in the options menu on myPS2. i hope this helps. good luck.
