myps2 problems

Hello Hello, I'm a newb.

I've read that myps2 1.2 don't work without some kind of "uncompressing" in launchelf, but mine worked fine to load, however, I have a question and a problem.

1. Whenever I try to play music it will play the first 20 seconds of a song and loop, and won't let me use the play/stop/pause/forward/back buttons

And when I try to switch to another song it wont even play at all. Now when I restart myPs2 it still only plays the same 20 seconds of the same song.

2. Is there a way to delete partitions from the hard drive without a reformat? (I have FFXI installed, can that be re-installed if necessary?)

I am using the independence exploit with launchelf and have a 40 gig HDD and a ps2 v3 (if this is even relevant)

2) HDDF48 can delete the partition.
