    The quote above is from a different thread that is under a different problem. So I thought it would be a good idea to post a new thread since more and more people are experiencing the same thing.

    After fixing the "(error -6)" and the "(error -2)" problems it hangs and outputs a message like the one above (Loading GUI String Table....FAILED). Does anyone have ideas or a solution to this problem. Thank you.

    I have the same problem as well.
    Here is something I noticed.
    When I run myPS2 from MC, the loading screen displays:
    SetElfPath: mc0:\myPS2\
    but
    When I run myPS2 from HDD, the loading screen displays:
    SetElfPath: host:
    So I think this problem is that when loading from HDD, there is a path problem & it can't find the files it needs.

    I've had the same problem. In my case it was caused by a wrong path in the config.dat
    It said
    'hdd_boot_path = /MYPS2/'
    while the folder of myPS2 was really named 'MyPS2'. So it seems the path is case-sensitive which led to the error.

    myne is still crashing at "loading GUI string table" when i try to launch from the HDD.

    hdd_boot_part = hdd0:+MYPS2

    hdd_boot_path = /MYPS2/

    thats exactly what it sais in my config.dat, i have the little squares at the ends. i even checked every path for case sensitivity, their all in caps. it works off of my flash drive. im totaly stuck. someone plz help. i would greatly appreciate it. cuz myps2 is the shit!

    So you created a partition only for myPS2 and in that partition there is a folder named MYPS2 and in that folder is the program?

    What squares are you talking about?
