"Could not resolve hostname" error =/

I have the same problem and done some debugging.
I run tcpdump on my router:

As you can see, name resolving works. myPS2 asks for the Name and the DNS
send the alias back.
I think the problem is myPS2 has to resolve the alias too.
I tried to put all Shoutcast addresses in mc0:/lmhosts but myPS2 doesn't care about and still uses DNS.

I modified my router to sent a static ip for *.shoutcast.com but that didn'T help either.

For me this looks like a programm error and no DNS problem.

Here's the shoutcast list I used with myPS2. Don't know if the stations still work, but at least one of them used to. So see this as an example how it should look like.

shoutcast moved there main station server, along with some changes to audio playback routines; awhile back I wrote an email to ntba2 on this subject and got a reply it will be updated in the next version. previously my station.xml was 174kbs now that has been reduced to about 10kbs using the old address...

this addess I got from the net.h script in the source code, though even with the new address myps2 will still need to be updated to coupe with the new audio revisions made by shoutcast.com.

I have no development tools installed so I unpacked the ELF,
changed the Server URL with a hexeditor to 70.86.83.53 and packed
the ELF again.

The patch worked. myPS2 now use the new server and I get a station list
Unfortunatly I can't play anything but this is maybe related to the bootloader
I use.

I'm wondering this URL only return server adresses and no complete URLs

I have attached a modified MYPS2.ELF ver1.2. Is it working for anybody?

Update: tcpdump shows the commplete URLs are transfered.
I've got a lot of problems with myPS2 but I think this is a
setup problem so the fixed ELF should work

Try to run myPS2 via ULE, or try to install it with ULE. Think that's better than the BM's install routine.

You mean uLauchELF?
I tried to load it via BM and direct from CD.
uLaunchELF works and is able to start SMS.
The problems are still there ....
