Accessing MyPS2 parition via FTP? –
Okay, I solved my error parsing xml gui files problem and finally have MyPS2 starting up correctly using the Independence exploit from the memory card. If anyone is interested in this configuration I can upload it. Now, I partitioned off a gigabyte of hard drive space which I want to run applications from. How do I get files into this partition? When I FTP in, I see files /hdd/0/+MYPS2 one of which is 256k and the other of which is 2meg but no accessable partition. Am I misunderstanding what the MyPS2 partition is intended for? If it's only for thumbnailing images then I guess it should be much smaller. Can programs be placed on this partition? I seem able to access it via the PS2 but does that mean I'm going to have to burn discs or ftp to the memory card then copy to the hard drive via the My Files browser? Maybe I should pull them over via the Samba? I'm not entirely clear. Ideally, I want to be able to store roms for the emulators on the hard drive. It seems like there's probably enough room for the emulators themselves and HD loader on the memory card. Will the emulators create their own hard drive partitions for their roms if properly configured? (sorry that question is somewhat off topic but I haven't started messing with them yet as I'm trying to get the dashboard figured out first) It would be great if I could also FTP PS2 games directly to the hard drive. That HDDumb program is horribly slow...
Anyway, thanks for any and all answers!
Okay, the PFS directory showed up once I put some files into it from within MYPS2 so now I can put things there directly but I'm still having a problem getting the NES and SNES emulators to load roms from hard drive. I know the InfoNES is supposed to be able to load them that way but SNES Station doesn't. I'm going to try to mod it to do so. Is it the only SNES emulator available?
Snes station doesn't support harddrives... But there is a version that supports usb drives...
As for your FTP problems, I had problem using MyPS2 FTP. Instead I used ULaunchELF to ftp across...
