Using same base skin for uLaunch & SMS?

First of all, thanks guys for all the work you did for all of us. We can not say this often enough, we are much obliged
And offcourse thanks also go out to all those who contributed!

I have a question though which probably is not easy solvable, but I will ask it anyway

I have a base skin for uLauch. I adapted it from the nice Sony Style graphics skin for HDL. I looks very nice on my Pal machine as a background in uLauch. I'm a sucker for consistency for all programs (HDL, uLaunch and SMS). The texts of uLaunch are positioned nicely within the borders.
When I convert the same picture to the .skn filetype I allmost get a nice background picture in SMS too.

My problem is this. The position of the texts in uLaunch and SMS are allmost identical, but not quit. Is it possible to agree on the same layout of the screen for both programs? IE both programs use the top and bottom 50 lines to display their texts.

For SMS it would also be helpfull to be able to disable the lines it draws to show the 3 different parts of the screen. With a background picture you could get the same result

I know it's a big order , but since you guys are cooperation already I though this could be possible
