I will throw in 4 bits worth....
I've noticed on my NTSC tube that the top and bottom already are a little close... but I manage... no prob
But if you decide to tackle using to layouts of the screen depending on the PAL/NTSC setting.. then you might be openning yourself up to plenty of tracking down changes if you don't go about it just the right way... (which I'm sure you will)
For every change you make to one display may have dire consequences in the other... without good coding mind you..... I have no probs with my display... and you PALs (with your weird tele-tubes) might want a few extra lines... might consider the apocalyptic terrors that you may bring to the table... I remember crapping out DOS programs that supported 25 and 50 line screen modes.... if I didn't pay close attention I spent a few hours hunting down the errors of my ways....
Hey... are we to get keyboard support? I'm sure that can easily be handled now with three programmers on the case... cheery-o
