    here

Not really a bug but a limitation of the pfs driver and it's an issue with all homebrew apps. Only create partitions of 4096MB or less in order to fully utilize the created partition.

Yeah it may. I only vaguely remember creating 8192MB and couldn't use the whole thing. I made all my partitions without sub partitions so 128MB, 256MB, 512MB, 1024MB, 2048, and 4096. I really didn't want to have a fragmented mess. I checked and rechecked the toc with hdl_dump to make sure those standard partitions don't have sub partitions.

There maybe something to what another user said about expanding the partitions out though. Although that is likely to leave sub partitions that I don?t want.

I have a 10240MB partition, it's filled with DivX movies right now
I have not look through all the movies, but I can see them all and all are able to start playing.

Mind finding out how much free space LaunchELF says you have vs. how much space you have used? There could be an issue with how LaunchELF calculates the total space. I should have checked this out more thoroughly before but back then I wasn't a developer for LaunchELF. At the time, I wasn't going to dump 8 gigs worth of stuff to test my large temporary partition out. I took what some other developers said over at ps2dev at face value.

Rest assured once I do get a newer, larger ps2 hard drive I'll be looking into this further. That's still most likely quite a ways off as I'm pretty content with what I have for the moment.

No, just some info on your large standard apa ps2 partition. Open the partition with launchELF and tell me how many MB's free. Also do a RevMark to select all the files/dirs and GetSize on the partition within launchELF. Adding the free space and the used file space should get in the ballpark of your actual 10240MB partition size. It's the possible discrepancy that I'm after.

Currently my largest partition 4096MB has 4090.9MB free, as I still haven't used it. The space free is correct with it but other larger partitions that have subpartitions may not be calculated properly.

This free space calculation problem should be fixed by uLaunchELF v3.72
Please test again, and report any failures ASAP.

    Best regards: dlanor

It's great to hear that it was only a calculation problem. So the larger partition issues that have been discussed in other places were just problems with size calculations?
