UlaunchELF application for FREE MCBoot?
UlaunchELF application for FREE MCBoot? –
So I recently installed FreeMCBoot 1.8 for my ps2 slim with the help of swap magic. But I noticed that there is no Ulaunchelf app in the FMCB launcher. I know now that its because I need the app that launches it from the FBMC launcher but im having difficulty finding the actual app, because im not sure which is the actual program and which is the FMCB shortcut. I was wondering if anybody could help me locate it and a guide on how install applications for FMBC. Ive already been to SKSapps but I cant find that starter package mentioned in another thread. Thank You for any help
I'm going to go ahead and guess that you used a tutorial somewhere online to help you install FMBC and that you didn't change anything in the Free McBoot Configurator.
First I would like you to try and hold the R1 button while your PS2 is turning on. If you did use a Noobie Package for the installation then holding R1 should load uLaunchELF, if it is still in your memory card. If it is still in your memory card, then you would just need to edit the Free McBoot Configurator to its path.
If that doesn't work, then download uLaunchELF from here. Grab a flash drive and make a folder in the root of it called BOOT (all uppercase.) Now rename the uLaunchELF you just downloaded to BOOT.ELF (all uppercase.) Put the flash drive into your PS2, then while it is turning on, hold R1 again. If uLaunchELF loads, go into mass/BOOT and press R1 on BOOT.ELF, select copy. Now go to mc0:/BOOT, press R1 and select paste to copy uLaunchELF to your memory card.
Hope this helps.
I appreciate you helping me binavik, but I actually looked around a little more on in SKS after I posted this and found the noobie package, I just reinstalled using that with my swap magic disc and now I have ulauncherELF in my FMCB launcher. Again, I do appreciate the help. thank you
Now you can update the one from the Noobie Package... If I remember, SKSaps Noobie Package is a little outdated.
