My first post on these boads...yay?

Anyway, I've burned a ulaunchElf iso (v4.06) on a dvd-r so that I can dump the ps2 bios to a usb, make backups of save games to pc and whatnot. My ps2 is scph-77006 cb slim type. Inserted the dvd on the PS2 and nothing happens.
The dvd is perfectly readable although I've noticed that even PCSX2 could not boot from the ulaunch dvd even if I have the ulaunch dvd on the dvd burner or load the ulaunch iso using daemon tools. Am I doing something wrong or does the ps2 model that I have is not able of booting from ulaunch? My ps2 is modded by the way.

Thank you very much in advance!

What app did you use to burn the DVD?

What disc brand did you use? Was it a brand you've used before and had no problems with?

    I used dvd decrypter.

I always use blank sony dvd-r. They always work for creating ps2 backups.

I'm gonna try making an iso out of the latest iso here and see if it'll work.

I tried loading the first ulaunchelf disk that I created.....after frequent open/closing of the ps2 lid, I've managed to make the "playstation" word show up. It took minutes before the launcher screen showed up (how long is it supposed to take anyway?). Got the bios off to my flashcard reader, finally.

    Why don't you try a CD-R?
    It worked to me.

It may be your lens in need of cleaning or adjusting if it reads the discs intermittenly.
