I recently got back into working with my modded PS2 as of late so I figured I would update to the latest of my favorite PS2 networking combos, uLE & RadHostClient.

I installed uLE 4.12 onto my HDD using ToxicOS 0.41, no probs there at all. When I got into digging into the great new features since the last time I used uLE (3.41r , been way busy in the really real world & little to no time for myselfÂ…), I found that skins have been implemented, awesome!

I decided to apply one of the various skins in the your skins post, it worked flawless!

So I decided to shutdown & rebootÂ… Next thing I know when I booted uLE through ToxicOS Apps tab, the screen went into a garbled Picasso/ToxicOS-type mess & hung (Anyone who has tried to boot the old PS1GameShark CDX on this same PS2 mod setup knows exactly what I am talking about, before about the 3rd or 4th try.). I rebooted a couple of times, every time I encountered the same problem.

The 1st thing I thought of to bypass this problem was to reboot uLE back up using my USB key & reset the skin settings. It booted fine from USB with my selected skin perfectly, so USB works!

I reset the skin setting to nothing, rebooted my PS2 & started uLE again from HDD, it worked from HDD again.

I tried again messing with the skin settings once more, this time placing the skin image on my MC instead of on my USB key, this method still produced the same results when running through ToxicOS off the HDD.

So I uninstalled uLE from the HDD Elf Storage & installed it on the MC, applied the skin from the original image from my USB key, rebooted & testedÂ… It started to Picasso but this time it didnÂ’t hang, it went into uLE w/ skin as normal!

Does anyone know why there would be issues with running uLE from HDD w/ skin in ToxicOS 0.41, anyone else experiencing this issue?

If so, a solution would be either installing uLE on your MC or run it from a USB key, works for me.

If anyone has got uLE to boot from HD using ToxicOS 0.41 App Installer with a skin after a reboot or shutdown, please let me know, I am interested.

Now back to having fun with all the new features (to me, as it has been awhile) of uLE!!!
