i think i took just as long before my first post too.![]()

Even if secure login is implemented i would prefer to use HOST instead of windows filesharing.
I don't like to have an open door on my windows machine even it has been password secured.
I still don't trust MS in security things and that will probably not change in near future.
I think i will use this on a linux machine if i have the money for the parts to build it up.
The mere fact that SMB exists in every Windows installation does make it an obvious target for malware of all kinds, as well as other abuses, especially with wireless networks where you never can be sure who else can see your traffic and possibly also your fileshares. (Having 'simple file sharing' active there would truly be 'simpleton' file sharing.)
But have no worries about HOST. Regardless of the arguments pro and con I have no plans to remove it from uLE.
Btw: There is also some personal nostalgia involved here, since the "host:" implementation in the uLE FileBrowser was one of my own first major contributions to it, after 'E P' started the project (when Mirakichi dropped support for original LaunchELF).
Best regards: dlanor
