Q. about Ulaunch elf

Hi there
I wanna now two things , please.
First how do u put ur own font picture in ur ulaunch elf?
Second , is there any way , whit the help of ulaunch , to copy things (like dot elf) from ur usb mass to ur hdd. I now i can boot an elf from usb , but i dont whant my usb key stick in my ps2. I now about the ftp method (this is the one i use) but if u now a way to copy from usb to hdd tell me please

i dunno about the font, but u can just put any jpg or bmp on your USB, MC or HDD to load it as background.

go to screen settings to insert the path of the picture.

select a file with circle or cross then press R1 to open menu.

I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean by "font picture". If you mean a picture as in backdrop ("skin") yes that's possible and settable in the Config menu. A JPEG file of dimensions 640x480 is what you should use for good results. If you literally mean setting another font: no. It's not possible and AFAIK likely never will be. uLE is an ELF-launcher and file browser plus some more goodies, why would you feel a great need to set another font? The default one is Good Enough(TM) and besides you're not going to spend that much time i uLE anyway (no offence meant dlanor )

Yes. This is partly what uLE is made for. Just do a copy(cut)-paste operation in uLE from mass: to hdd:. N.B. I don't have a HDD so I cannot be more specific on the exact steps and prerequisites, but other ppl in this forum can.

Hm, if you literally mean boot the PS2 from a USB-device, and e.g. load uLaunchELF directly from it, that isn't a very easy or straightforward thing to do to my present knowledge. Caveat: I've never tried it and don't know the details on how to get it working, though I know it is possible. I have a mod chip which supports Dev.olution mode, i.e. boot directly from MC0 (Memoy Card in slot 1).

If you mean start an .elf from a USB-mem stick from within uLE (the mass: device) that's very straightforward, yes. I'm guessing you mean the latter, but it's just a feeling I get. Normally the boot process, i.e. the start of uLE in this case, would be from MC (Memory Card) or HDD for many ppl, since that's a function built into many mod-chips like DMS3,4 Matrix Infinity et al.

[mylife]I'm sry for my English m8 , i understant quite eaisily this language , but it's not in my way to speak it (chatting alot whit uk/us ppl in PSO 3 years ago , but that's all ).
This is the first time i use an English board , there's alot of good thing's to now here , i will do my best to use a good English ^_^ [/mylife]

Ok so yes , i have said "font" , but skin was the right "word" , so i will looking for this option tonight.

About the copy/paste i have heard this fonction but haven't found it (maybe i haven't looked enough to my ulaunchelf...). Can you tell the manipulation ? (in the case that i don't found it again 2nite).

And for the last question plz forget , it wasn't necessary to me to speak about that , i haven't explain myself like i would , you just have to now that i now how launch an elf from my usb stick (in my country we say usb key).

If you want to learn more about uLaunchELF, you can start by reading the last version of the documentation located at this thread. I know it's not completely up to date, but it will give you a good idea of how uLE works.

As for how to create uLE Skins, you can read my template_readme.txt, over at this thread. Hope that takes a lot of time off your info searches tonight...

Ok , so , i was using ulaunch dot elf ver 0.41since the beginning , but this version don't include copy/paste and the "chose ya skin" mode. I have put the latest Ulaunch in my MC by ftp.
And now i'm rich , all the girl wanna have sex whit me and my dog sit when i say sit down...
