Ps2 slim 90004 play games from usb ?? –
Hello everyone, this is might be in the wrong Forum but i really need your help guys , i have a ps2 slim SCPH 90004 with modchip super 7 e17 and a dead laser so i can't use discs and thats the main reason i'm doing this all for, i don't think that it supports FMCB so my questions are :
1 - is there anyway to play games from usb if it doesn't support FMCB ?
2 - is there anyway to boot directly from usb ?
3 - how to use devmode in my modchip?
4 - i've read somewhere that datecode 8c and 8b ps2 work with FMCB normally , so how to find out what's your ps2 datecode ?
5 - thanks in advance and again i'm really sorry if there's anything wrong with my thread
4. Only some SCPH-9XXXX date code 8C are FMCB compatible, not all of them (but all 8B are). See here http://psx-scene.com/forums/f153/scp...rmation-63103/ (SCPH-9XXXX v18 PS2 FMCB Compatibility Consolidated Information) how to get the date code.
1+2+3. As you already understand, an FMCB incompatible PSTwo has 3 main options to run homebrew : swap magic, AR, or modchip. With a dead laser, only remaining option is using devmode from modchip. Unfortunately, I couldnt find any information about devmode for your modchip. So Im affraid you have no options left.
Your best luck would be if your PSTwo is compatible with FMCB. Otherwise, I dont see any solution than changing the laser.
"super 7 e17" i guess if i ever wanted another ps2 i'll have to avoid that chip , and even if i renew the laser it's not gonna last for too long , i've got some gaming monsters with me ,well all i'm gonna do now is getting a MC with FMCB already on it and try it , thank you very much for the help bro .
