Making and maintaining a toolchain release properly would require far too much support effort for me to even consider it. Probably more than uLaunchELF itself. (And doing it less 'properly' is not a serious option for me.)Originally Posted by bootsector
I can see why people would want it, but you have to count me out.
I have my hands full enough as it is.

hi dlanor. i think you misunderstood me. all i asked was a thing as simple as zip your c:\cygwin folder and make it available on rapidshare.de
no maintenance needed :P
this way we could at least compile the lateste version of LE!!!

I simply don't release anything that way.Originally Posted by bootsector
I also doubt that it could be done, since my "e:/Cygwin" folder contains 2.57 GB distributed over 10,209 folders and 115.230 files. (I had reason to check this in detail after my recent HD crash.)
Like, since when does 'slowshare' allow free downloads of such size ?
Of course, I could try to cut it down, but then I'd have a lot of work doing that, and repeatedly reinstalling the stuff on another computer to see if it still works right after each 'shrinking' etc. And that too would then turn into a separate project, which I've already said I don't have time for. So that's out !
Yeah right!no maintenance needed :P
You should realize, as well as I do, that my PM box would overflow the very next day after such a release. I'd probably have to re-register under a new user name to put an end to that...
No, I'll leave the SDK releases to people who have more time to devote to it than I do.

LOL! I got the point, dlanor! And I fully agree with you!

Well my cygwin environment is only 500MB. I tend to keep things real tidy.Mostly bare essentials if you will.
You should be able to use EEUG's pre compiled dev environment found here. I believe it's based on losers ps2 dev setup. However, loser's newest PS2Dev environment for Win32 can be found here. Of course, dlanor and I use lukasz's PS2dev environment, which is no longer available. I have tried many times to build my own from scratch to no avail.
Also other LaunchELF compiling notes can be found in this thread
