@theninjaway,
Please remove "EXECUTE1.ELF" from codelist_easy_..max file and look if then more/all messages displayed on the black screen.
Do you have another device like a digicam or mp3 player, which could be connect as a mass storage device? Perhaps it works better than your pendrive. I have read from one user that he could use the PSP successful for this.

I have a problem with this exploit.
When I reboot my PS2 with the 3 "Cheats" applied, and then click on Max Memory, I still get the Red Border, without anything starting.
Inside the Save there is the BOOT.ELF and on the USB Stick is the FREE_MCBOOT.elf.
Please help me.
1. 3.60 PAL
2. I used the first one that was posted, by the one who created it. As far as I know that was the one for 3.6. But I tried another one after that (the easy type), and that only crashed the PS2 on the Max Memory click without the red border. (first attempt: red border, but nothing started)
3. I tried it capitals, and wihtout.
so: BOOT.ELF and boot.elf. (and of course the FREE_MCBOOT.ELF was FREE_MCBOOT.ELF, since I used the direct package from the sksapps site.)
Neither worked.
MD5 of my SLES_500.09
md5_file("SLES_500.09") = "e69e408db0379e3ac85fbea79910a923"
And now I tried it a third time with:
http://www.psx-scene.com/forums/show...&postcount=128
Same result as with the first lengthy howto.
Red Border: yes
But it freezes at that Border and nothing happens.
FREE_MCBOOT.ELF is on the USB Stick.

@kyuu:
Since you have tried several methods reported as working by others, we need to consider exactly in what ways your attempts differ from theirs, and the first thing that comes to my mind then is your USB device.
Has that USB device worked well in any other work (like savegame backup/restore operations) with the same ARMax version ?
Best regards: dlanor
Well it does seem to.
I made a backup of a few games, before I completely deleted everything from one of the memory cards, before I started.
And everything seems alright with them.
Can try a MicroSD in a MicroSD adapter later and see if that works. (as a usb stick replacement, since I only have Toshiba TransMemory ones.)
@kyuu,
are you sure that you have used "uncrush", and not "copy" to transfer the .max file from your usb drive to the MC0?
Sledge
Pretty sure, yes.
