Is it possible to make my bootcd load uLaunchElf through MC by editing system.cnf on my cd and make mc0:\\ulaunchelf.elf
But why do you want to do that?To use cd to load something from memory card
cause i want to save changes settings in my uLaunchelf
I just create directory to my MC (mc0:\\BOOT\BOOT.ELF) where boot.elf is uLaunchElf renamed use dev mode to load uLaunchElf(in my case R1)and I can save the changes
The directory name and boot.elf must be in uper case.Put BOOT.ELF and LAUNCHELF.cnf in BOOT directory
ei is dev mode is matrix infinity feature lucky u but i dont have that kind of modchip aw
There are many ways to achieve what you want, but the simplest way is this:
Just make a bootcd like normal for uLaunchELF, and do NOT include any LAUNCHELF.CNF file with the ELF. This will cause the program to start with all settings at default. Those settings include a launch key to the FileBrowser so you can still start that easily.
Enter the FileBrowser and browse to "mc0:" and there create the folder "SYS-CONF".
Exit the FileBrowser (press Select), and enter the config screen (press Select again), and move the cursor to OK and press the confirmation button (Circle button with default settings). This was to test that CNF is saved properly to the new folder.
From this moment on, that CNF file will be loaded whenever you boot uLE without a CNF stored with the ELF, regardless of the file storage medium. And it is also where new CNF changes will be stored for all those cases.
Note that it may still be a good idea to also store a copy of the ELF somewhere on the same MC, to allow use of the 'back to browser' feature of some programs. (eg: InfoNES, SMS, PS2MP3, etc.)

so there's no way to boot uLe on my memory card cause i dont want to make new cd's when there is a new version being released and i dont want to waste cd's
Without Dev1 implemented in your mod-chip, there is NO way to boot directly off MC without some CD/DVD disc being booted first. That is a fact you simply have to accept. But that does NOT mean that you need to burn new CD's for every version. There are many ways to avoid that. In my previous post I only described the *simplest* method to save CNF when booting from CD, since that is the capability you asked for.
I'm not sure what PS2 model you have, but if it's an old 'fat PS2', then you can always use the 'exploit' method for booting uLE off MC, without having to use any CD-R at all in that booting (but you must instead use an original PS1 CD).
But for a new 'slim PStwo' and a mod-chip without Dev1, the best method is this:
First use your old boot methods to start uLE, and create a folder on MC where you want it installed. If you want it to be exactly as used with Dev1 chips (useful if you take it to a friend with such chip), then create the folder "mc0:/BOOT/" and store the uLE "BOOT.ELF" file inside it. This is the file you can replace later to upgrade to new versions.
Next prepare a CD boot disc using ANY version of uLE. The precise version doesn't really matter, as long as it's reaonably modern, as it will only be used to start the copy you have on MC. On this CD you should place a "LAUNCHELF.CNF" file, containing the following directives.
Don't bother with a lot of other settings for this CNF, as it is not the one that will be used when the 'real' instance of uLE is launched from the MC.Code:CNF_version = 3 LK_auto_E1 = mc:/BOOT/BOOT.ELF LK_auto_timer = 0
Btw: If you want to use cdgenPS2 to make the boot disc (thus no long file names), you can also use the name "LNCHELF.CNF", in place of the normal "LAUNCHELF.CNF".
When that new CD is booted the uLE ELF on it will start up, and will immediately proceed to launch the other ELF you stored as "mc0:/BOOT/BOOT.ELF".

i own big fat one sorry i didnt tell u what i have
i own SCPH-30000 NTSC-J
Well, in that case you can just try the standard exploit. That has been fully documented in umpteen millon other places, so I won't bother to repeat that there. (Search and thou shalt find...)
On the other hand, since you do have a non-Dev1 mod-chip, you can just go ahead and use the method described in my previous post, since that method works independent of the PS2 model.
