i started the ps2ftp in ulanunchelf ,then logon as anonymous
i just see directory mc ,hdd ,pfs .but i can't see mc0 and mc1 ,so how i can copy the elf from mc0 to host ?
By the way, can i use the copy function to copy from mc to host? i tested ,it seems not working.

Have you enabled passive mode on FlashFXP or whatever you are using to connect from the pc?

This may just be a simple misunderstanding, caused by the fact that the FTP server still uses the same device scheme as when it was an independent application, even though this differs from how the same devices are normally specified in the main program of uLE.
So "mc0:/" and "mc1:/" (as they are normally called in uLE) are accessible in the FTP server as "/mc/0/" and "/mc/1/". Putting it in other words, each memory card is accessible as a subfolder named "0" or "1", inside the main memory card device folder "mc".
It's the same way with all devices in the FTP server, so even "mass:" has to be accessed as "/mass/0/" even though we don't normally use any numbers for "mass:" paths (as we currently only have a single-drive implementation for usb_mass).

im having the same problem like the OP's, i only see "hdd", "mass", "mc", and "pfs", each of these folders has no folder, no "0", or "1", etc, just blank. wth?
i use flashfxp, in passive mode.
i just want to transfer a file from my pc to my ps2 hdd.

I agree it's weird, but I can't repeat your results here, so I can't experiment with them.
That's the recommended client, though you need to be a bit careful about the version. I use v3.4.0 Build 1140 myself, and it fixed some caching problems I had with an older version. This could refuse to update cached directory info properly, even after new startup of the program, falling back instead on outdated info in the directory caches. Now *IF* that is what happens for you, and that cache content was created before the server was fully initialized (thus missing some subpath info), that could explain your problem. (Or so I think anyway.)
That shouldn't matter on a local connection. I can use both modes with equal success on my LAN, but if you go through a router/ICS/firewall, then you should use passive mode.

Then there are many other alternative open for you. One of the best longterm solutions is to use 'host:' instead, as it allows direct transfer of files both ways between PC and PS2, at speeds of appx 1450 kByte/s, which is many times faster than anything the PS2 FTP server can handle. The only drawback is that you must run a special PC-side client program for this protocol. (Look for info on ps2client, PS2ClientLoader, and RadHostClient)
Another simple solution is to use a USB HDD or flash memory to transfer the file, connecting it to the PC to place it there and then to the PS2 to copy it over to the PS2 HDD. But USB copying will always be much slower than the networking transfers, due to the USB 1.1 limitation of the PS2.
