launching UlaunchELF from Cogswap
launching UlaunchELF from Cogswap –

Hello, I've been trying to mod my ps2 fat (SCPH-5001) to run free mcboot, the only game I could use that I had on me was 007:Everything or Nothing. I'm able to launch cogswap with the backup disk, but cannot launch the UlanchElf disc from the cogswap menu. With 4.37 I get a black screen, and 4.12 just hangs at the cogswap menu. I've tried booting games (not backups) from the cogswap menu and they seem to work just fine, any ideas?

Here is how to use Cogswap
How to use Cogswap
-boot up Cogswap
-place a PS2 disc (Original Game Disc) in the tray
-wait til it displays the disc type
-press O button for CD or X button for DVD
-wait til it says "use cogswap"
-then use a slide card (fat ps2) or sensor mod (Slim ps2) to swap out the game disc for your backup disc.
-press X to play the disc
So burn uLaunch 4.12 to DVD and use it for the swap.

I've been doing that. The closest so far I've gotten to loading it would be it getting stuck at a black screen after uLaunch.
Is there something other than ulaunch I could try to use to get fmcb installed? not new to modding, but fairly new to the ps2 scene.

sorry for the double post, just updating.
Used an earlier version and it worked perfectly. Was able to get fmcb installed
