I'm terrified of soldering.. I don't wish to break anything.. and so this gent on my ngemu thread said use FreeMCBoot

I have two PS1 memcards, and PS2, and even a couple Cruzer Micro flash drives. I don't have the PS2 HD, it seems kind of taxing no ? Not so sure

All I wish to do is to transfer PS1 block(s) from PC into a PS1 memcard. I think I've been covered there if I google for two tools.. and 531+ tabs does not help lol

As for getting my PS2 to run FreeMCBoot and uLE.. it's totally beyond me how at this point.. please assist.. which Free and uLE file(s) do I transfer.. and hopefully will launch ?

If only I could group every tab together easily

I can head you in right direction and maybe even you could seen MC to free installers up to you

Take a look at the sticky's and see if swap trick swap magic and a few others may work for you

Ahh.. I attempted to PM ye but I cannot find it..

I did poke in most of those stickies, I picked up the FMCB - Nooby Package 2011 rar archive. Should I just extract into flash drive, and plug into PS2 ?

I also read that uLE will need to be moved/copied into the INSTALL folder

One question I have do you have any way to install it yet?
yes it can be installed by USB stick best way really
If you have the newbie one it has uLE already in it and OPL and a few other things
    uLE is BOOT.ELF

here is a guide for you about FMCB and under install is how to get it on MC

Plug USB stick.. insert.. power on PS2.. Browser.. and cross fingers ?

Should I look for any label/sticker on my PS2 ?

At the moment, all I know is it's a black slim PS2 I got many many moons ago

Well to install this you must have a mod chip or swap magic or some other means to run homebrew once installed to MC you can go without most of the methods mentioned to play backups emulators and more

Just putting it non modified PS2 will get you no were PS2 will not load USB by defaut

Hm.. well as for those stickies you mentioned in the other subforum, I don't think any inform on swap magic

This dude I used to know was all about it.. it seems like the easiest method. Where can I get it ?

EDIT: JUST read your edit. You mentioned the site freemcboot info , that's the one that in fact led me to here to the psx-scene

That leads me to sksapps com swap magic page.. where I'm still clueless

Ohhh damn. It's two discs ? And $17 I sure will have to jump on it..

So once it finally arrives.. hm.. insert disc 1.. power up.. insert flash drive with the extracted contents of FMCB - Nooby Package 2011 rar archive.. and FMCB / uLE away ?

You can't install fmcb on a ps1 memory card, for that you will need a ps2 mc(an original one preferably).
