Hi im new and would like some help please.

I have downloaded some memory card saved files off the net and, a file from this forum "ulaunchelf". (I assume this is the programme i need to transfer the file to my ps2 memory card). My ps2 is chipped and i have a usb flash disk, no hdd for the ps2.

Its in a winrar format, what do i do now? Convert it to iso? then burn and play in ps2? If i convert to iso how do i do it?

Hope someone can help. Any help appreciated, many thanks. Sorry for all the questions.

You need to use a program like WinRAR to uncompress that RAR file you have first. Then you need to tell us what type of save file it is. Example: save.max (action replay max), save.npo (nPort), save.cbs (CodeBreaker), etc.

Yes you can use uLaunchELF to transfer your save games to your Memory Card, but first uncompress the file to find out what format it's in, and then I'll help answer the rest of your questions if I'm still here when you reply.

EDIT: Also, you can use PS2 Save Builder, which you can get from here, to convert pretty much any type of save to another format if needed.

Did you already extract the .max file with WinRAR or a similar program? If you did, and your getting that error, then maybe your download wasn't completed properly or it's a bad save file. I'm not sure if PS2 Save Builder is incompatible with any version of .max files, as far as I know anyway...

Upload the compressed file here so someone if not me can take a look at it for you. If nobody else can get it working.. then it's definitely not going to work for you either.

    @ supersnap:
Try these. One is a max-file and the other is the normal save-folder (no max) and contains a "PS2_MC_Backup_Attributes.BUP.bin" for uLE's mcPaste.
Hope that PAL is ok. I'm not sure if they're the saves with all the cars and money (cant test, see signature), so just complain if they're not.

    regards: Jones23

    @ supersnap:
Look at this post for a uLE manual.
I attached an iso of uLE and a tutorial I found on the web on how to make them. Just unrar and burn the iso. Should work.

Be sure to always use winrar to extract rar-archives. Other programms may corrupt the files during the extraction.
    I hope this helps.

    regards Jones23

EDIT: modified the iso-file, so now it should work with the matrix infinity.
