If you have installed the NOOBIE PACKAGE, then to boot into ULe, you need to hold down R1 when booting your PS2.... DJ
500 INSTALLS DONEPossibly there's a misunderstanding here. Since he mentions a boot disc directly after an exploit related guide, it is likely that he meant the PS1 trigger disc used with the old 'Independence Exploit'. And if this simply starts the game instead of the homebrew elf in the exploit folder, it means that any one of several possible things has gone wrong.
There are of course several mistakes possible in the exploit preparation, though we'd need to know a lot more details to consider which it might be.
And then there is the classical mistake of trying to use this kind of exploit on a slim PStwo console, which never can work. To rule this out we need to know the SCPH model code of his console.

The model is SCHP 500001
I was reading the "Noobie Guide" and it says, " Now just run the FREE_MCBOOT.ELF on your PS2 and read the Installation section below"
How to do you that directly, from a usb with AR Max?

No it is not. "SCPH-" is just the prefix for all Sony PlayStation hardware identifiers. It is the number that follows after this prefix that determines exactly what hardware it is.
Thus SCPH-77004 is a european v15 PStwo, while SCPH-39001 is a US v7 PS2.
The SCPH-1080, on the other hand, is just a digital gamepad controller.
Without the full number, the prefix is meaningless except to say that it's PS*-related stuff made by Sony.
That sentence in the guide refers to a section slightly higher on the same page, which says:I was reading the "Noobie Guide" and it says, " Now just run the FREE_MCBOOT.ELF on your PS2 and read the Installation section below"

There the words "how-to Guides" are a link back to the main tutorial page, where you are then expected to scroll down to the section headed "Tutorials on how to boot the Installer", and below that header you will find several different links to various tutorials for various methods of booting the installer. Those tutorials are what you need to read in order to find a method suitable for you to use.Originally Posted by noobie guide
If you feel that all this is a bit too hard for you to manage by yourself, then you can always turn to the free installer service in the FMCB forum. Here volunteers all over the world will help others installing FMCB free of charge, except for postage both ways.
To use this service you PM one of those guys closest to you and servicing the console region of your console, in order to reach an agreement for when/how to send your MC for installation of FMCB and how to handle the postage cost.

(i edited my last post putting my model number i didnt realise I forgot it.)
But I got LaunchElf 3.75 to work, it's just the newer version that does work.
And the 3.75 wouldn't recognize anything on my usb (Sandisk cruzer micro 1GB)
and whenever i try a newer version of Launchelf it wont boot up with my Ps1 trigger disc.
Your SCPH-50001 model is a version in range v9-v11 (depends on other details).
That is very odd, but please try this then:But I got LaunchElf 3.75 to work, it's just the newer version that does work.

Use the same methods as before to prepare the exploit folder, except that you add one more elf file to the folder. For this use v4.39 of uLE, and rename it to "ULE_4_39.ELF", while you keep uLE v3.75 named to "BOOT.ELF".
Next you reboot with the trigger disc to boot uLE v3.75 and then use its FileBrowser to launch "mc0:/BADATA-SYSTEM/ULE_4_39.ELF" instead. This should allow you to use the newer USB drivers built into v4.39 of uLE to access the SanDisk drive without problems.
NB: I have three "SanDisk Cruzer micro" myself and these work fine with uLE, though none of these are of as small size as yours (I have one each of the 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB units).

Alright I'll give that a try! Thanks
I also have an 8 gig. Just the 1 gig didnt have anything on it, so it loads from Ar MAX quicker.
Thank you very much, I got it working, But i was curious on how to play back-ups of my ps1 games.
