    I have a fat PS2, I wonder if UlanuchELF can use the firewire port (i-link) ? (or in the coming version)

    Sorry, but that interface will probably never be implemented in uLE.
    (Even though I do have one PS2 with that interface too.)

    Since the firewire interface only exists on a few PS2 models very little homebrew work has been done on this, so to implement anything useful for this interface (like external HDD etc), we would have to write everything from scratch. And in the end we would only have something similar to the current USB drivers (maybe a bit faster), which only a very small minority of PS2 users (and NONE of the PStwo users) could try using. And of those users only an even smaller minority would be able to find/buy any suitable hardware compatible with that firewire interface at reasonable efforts/cost.

    All-in-all, this means that developing such an implementation is not worthwhile.

    I understand, I just got a 4 pins 1394 cable which can connect to a usb hdd, so I wonder if I can get use of the firewire of the fat ps2, anyway, thanks.
