Digital Camera USB Drivers...?

Digital cameras do use exactly the same kind of interface if they are shown as a normal drive in windows. There are some incompatabilities with the drivers for certain devices. Try trying another USBMASS.IRX (3.81) from the support thread.

In camera's config menu switch from PTP=digital camera mode to MSDC=mass storage mode

Cloudhunter, I am using the lastest version (4.02)... and I didn't understand these "Old usb_mass drivers bugfixed for uLE v4.02"... how do I use these files? I am confused o_o
Nachbrenner, my digital camera doesn't have this Option... only Normal, PTP and PictBrigde, and none of them worked in uLE
my Sony CyberShot is a DSC-P43
any other solutions? :/

Judging from your camera's manual "normal"=MSDC

Try the older ULE versions 3.80 and 4.01

yes, the Default Option here Normal, so it is MSDC, and it works perfectly on my Linux or Windows
I've tried version 3.79 of uLE and this newest, 4.04, but didn't work either...
I guess I'll have to wait until somebody fix this problem...
well... no problem
thanks a lot anyway

The reason why your digital camera's internal memory is not recognized as a USB device is because it is formatted in "Design rule for Camera File system" (DCF). This is a standard for all Digital Cameras. The USB drivers for the PS2 are not compatible with this File System. Only FAT and FAT32 are compatible.
So the only way you could use a camera as a usb device, is if it contained a flash card (ex: SD card), which is formatted in FAT or FAT32. This worked for me when switching my camera's settings from internal memory (DCF) to the external memory card (SD card formatted in FAT32).
