Is a "Defrag" function for ULE possible?

For some reason I can't get it to work on my PAL PS2. The HDD software was installed successfully by the HDD Utility disk. I copyed the files from the __system partition to USB, patched them with the fixed patch. Connected the HDD to PC and using Windows sector inspector dumped the mbr, then patched it, then restored it to the hdd. But the hdd doesn't shows in the browser. The only difference is that if I "let" FreeMCBoot launch PS2's osdmenu the menu isn't patched by FreeMCBOOT - there are only the two entries - Browser and System Configuration, so I guess the mbr is doing its job. Where could the problem be?

you need a modchip with auto atad patching or a sony hdd, or it wont work

edit: but you can still use the "Hacked" hddosd which dose not require a modchip or sony hdd.

did you installed the dvdplayer update from the utility disc, maybe that removed you fmcb installation? and because of legal reasons i cant direct you to the hacked hddosd.

No I didn't installed the DVD player update.
When the HDD is connected the menu is like when FreeMCBoot isn't loaded (thow the FMCB logo is showed before that). When the HDD is disconnected, the menu entries for uLaunchELF, etc. apair.

oh i think you need to set "skip hdd update" to yes in fmcb configurator, dont know if this will fix it.
