I see, I had that problem when trying to inject a packed Codebreaker into the regular sized elf as well

i dont know, but you could always use "dvdelf_dumper.elf" if you still have acces to your machine

edit: thought they were smaller :O, but i know some machines have one with around 800kb

Even with codes removed Codebreaker v9.2 still ways in at 1,749,955 bytes

Anyway it's ok installing all the HDDOSD but we can't control / config any of it like OSDSYS via FMCB, it's just the standard OSD with Keyboard / Mouse and HDD support.

Maybe a simple change of getting the FMCB installer to use a external file stored on MASS instead using the OSDSYS from BIOS would work, I don't think it's gonna be that easy though It inject the OSDSYS into the DVDELF during installation?

Funny... I just tested the USA KELFS, even moved them to my SCPH-10000 and they work fine even with mismatched MBR (JPN 1.00 utility disc)

What I don't know is if your disc has the same KELFs as mine. I need to check the original source hosdsys.elf and fsck.elf files for comparation... PM me.

If the KELF files on the __system partition are wrong the MBR will just keep trying to load them over and over. fsck is executed only when the MBR detects problems with the APA partitions otherwise hdosdsys is executed.

And the DISC PPF files are for the utility discs. They're SONY discs, not Square game discs.

Why the hell people aways think that the HDD Utility disc is part of the FFXI game ?
