500 INSTALLS DONEon load of uLE, I know it first looks in the same folder where the program is stored and launched from. second is mc?:/SYS-CONF/
Yes, that is correct.
If there is a "LAUNCHELF.CNF" file stored in the same directory/folder where uLE is launched, that CNF file will take precedence over any others. Only if none is found there will the search continue to include the "/SYS-CONF/" folders of both memory cards.
There is also a special exception allowing use of the name "LNCHELF.CNF" instead, for use on CDVD compilations with 8+3 filename standards, so uLE can boot correctly from a homebrew disc and use a CNF file stored on the same disc.
