What version uLE You are using?
With new mc modules You can. On mc modules from rom0 no, and there is some kind of shaman solution implemented by Dlanor and EP (cut and paste with rename on the fly, as I remember by square button).

Renaming on the PS2 is dependent on which device drivers are used, and for some devices the device drivers simply do not implement any renaming.
Those devices originally included both "PS2 MC" and "USB mass storage", so renaming was impossible on both these device types.
But thanks to the new MC device drivers by jimmikaelkael, the latest uLE versions can rename objects on a PS2 MC.
Unfortunately renaming of objects on USB drives remains impossible for uLE, since none of the 'mass' drivers have implemented it.
Btw: There is still a 32 character limit for each file and folder name on a PS2 MC. The MC file system directory structures only use 32 bytes for storing each object name.
Best regards: dlanor
