God damnit :-) I will try tomorrow, it is very late here right now. When I remove the metal cover, do I put it back afterwards? None of the tutorials I saw on youtube had to mess with that metal cover.
Anyway, thank you for your time and support. I will post pics of the chip, hopefully tomorrow.
[EDIT] Just one more thing, there are normal (upward) screws on that metal cover - no problem there. There are also 5 screws facing downward. 4 of those (red) I can remove (big screws on the other side) but the fifth one (purple) is under the disc rotator on the other side. How do I remove that one? This is pretty messed up :-( Thanks for any help.

You also can link a programm to the autostart-option of FMCB.
The specified ELF will start up after the FMCB-Logo.
I hope you only have problems with the OSD-Mod-Part and not problems, while the logo is shown.
Btw.: What happend, if you hold R1 to boot up uLE?

HI, I MODDED MY PS2 ONE WEEK AGO,AND WANTED TO KNOW HOW TO BOOT ULAUNCH ELF FROM MC,ULAUNCH ELF BOOTS FROM THE CD PERFECTLY,BUT I AM NOT ABLE TO INSTALL FMCB ON MY MEMORY CARD,ITS SHOWING "SIGNING DVDELF"ERROR ,MY PS2 VERSION IS SCPH-90004(SLIM),DONT KNOW WHICH MOD CHIP IS INSTALLED ON IT,PLEASE HELP AND SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH AS I AM NEW TO THIS

My ps2 sometimes hangs on the FMCB logo too but the reason for that is that my USB HDD malfunctions at the startup, so I just have to unplug the USB cord and restart the ps2 without the HDD being connected.

1. this is a 3 year old thread
2. if you have a clone MC then the Magicgate might not be valid. i have had a few cards fail here and this was the reason. try to reformat the card and see if that helps.
if it still hangs at the signing dvdelf section then try another card,preferably a genuine Sony MC.
3. if your 90004 slim has a datecode of 8c or higher then FMCB cant boot from a MC due to changes in the BIOS of these models.
4. please dont write in capitals.it is considered shouting and is rude behaviour.
