Black screen opening any ELF
Black screen opening any ELF –
I have a slimline PS2. I've installed Mcboot 1.8c onto an official 8GB Memory card. It was working when I first installed it yesterday, I could open some emulators and play.
Now whenever I open any .ELF file I get a black screen and nothing happens, or if something does open, e.g. PGEN it just hangs.
I've done a fresh install and wiped the memory card, it made no difference. I only get a black screen and nothing happens. The Elf's are stored on USB stick. Even from MC it makes no difference.
What am I doing wrong?
how is the video hooked to your TV? i have had something like this happen when i use component cable to HDTV. for pgen and some others i have to revert to composite cable to get picture.
EDIT: just had a thought.... havent tried it but mabey start GSM first and force output then start emu??

Thanks for the reply. I am using a component lead on a 720p LCD TV.
It just sounds crazy I have to use a poor quality signal to get it to work
I don't know what GSM is but I'll figure that out and give it a try! What should I force output to? What settings?
I'm presuming something related to component and 720p?
Ok, I have downloaded GSM037. Do you recommend this version or do you suggest something else? I'm running it from the memory card.
Which settings and screen resolution should I use?
