I got it working by sharing the directory for everyone.
You also need to set a username and password, but it does not matter what it is.

Thanks!, but not work, i tried with the guess account, and admin user and password, sms freezes...The same problem of Vista? any more idea?
I using Rad Host at the moment, but smb its easy...
Nothing yet? I reaaaaally want to use SMS with my brand new Vista computer... :/
Bump. any luck with this?

i use PS2ClientLoader v131
share the folder using client loader, work nicely
*i'm on vista business
Not being rude, but that was a bit harsh.
If you read the vista threads of which there are many you'll see that the samba protocol changed with vista and EEUG the writer of SMS never implimented these changes, therefore unless someone finds some kinda trick to make it think its an xp share, vista doesnt play well with SMS when it comes to smb shares..
Just coming in and asking "how" without checking out other peoples attempts isnt going to get you far, i'd try the search button, the answers are all here somewhere..
Many tricks have been tried all have failed, and therefore most people suggest you use radhost with vista.
Its unlikely EEUG will impliment vista shares any times soon as he doesnt have much time to spend on the project...
I didn't ask how, I asked if there had been any progress with it.

Just be reading EEUG's download page, you'd see he asks for suggestions or questions to be emailed to him, you're unlikely to see much of him on here, or get an answer that hasnt been said plenty of times before,
Like i said, you could have searched for everything vista related..
Anyhoo, no as far as vista stands, no-one who has got it to share has reported sucess, therefore it still appears unlikely it will work without major changes to sms and as EEUG says himself "he doesnt have much time to spend on the project... "
All I asked was if there had been any progress, I'm not interested in anything else, and all I needed was a simple yes/no answer, it wasn't worth searching and reading through pages of stuff for such a simple question.
