Video Size –
When I have my PS2 (V7) hooked up to a to a HDTV with composite cables, the video size is just fine. But when hooked up with component cables, the video is rather small..(still good quality.) When I press the "square" button to make the video larger it does just that...but..even the the screen itself doesn't even fit to the edges of the TV screen, it displays the video bigger the what it sets the screen size to.
It doesn't show the entire screen of the movie, the edges get cut off(you can move the screen left and right with R1 and L1 buttons to see the video that's being cut off.)

Is there a set of options that can fix this?
Check the settings inside SMS by pressing the start button, you can set the screen size to match your HD settings, sms has most of the usual 480, 576, 720, 1080s as defaults or you can size the screen with values you like..
Go into display settings..
Choose TV format..
It should have the option as auto, change it to the setting that matches your HD resolution..
If you go Into advanced settings you can manually set the width and height..
Holy crap! It's perfect!
I never thought I'd see my PS2 in 1080i
Thanks for your help!
Glad to help.. No Problem...
