Just upload your subtitle file to let us check...

What method do you launch sms with (SM/Modchip/exploit)? What media are you watching your videos from (cd/dvd, net, usb, hdd)?

Does SMS display some error message regarding subtitle format? If it does, then what is the exact message?

i have modchip, an XviD video, it does not displayed anything or even error messages, here's my linkhttp://www.sharebigfile.com/file/821...liber-sub.html
and also about the .srt subtitle, there are few unsupported syntax like {\a6} i forgot the others syntax. i think \a6 should be seen in the upper part of the screen but it always display on the lower part of the screen so i got annoying lines "{\a6}This is a free fansubs... Do not sell on Ebay!" when someone's talking the {\a6} syntax overwrite the character voice or character sub, so i get annoyed when i dont know what they saying

Works for me...I download the attached file, renamed for my video file and it works perfectly. Are you sure that it's the exact name coz even one more/less dot and it wont work

    The.Imperial.Household.E08.KOR.HDTV.XViD-HODOLi.avi
    The.Imperial.Household.E08.KOR.HDTV.XViD-HODOLi.srt

I'm using the newest verson, are you sure that the "Autoload Subtitles" is on

And for the link that you give.... thats not a subtitle file is way to big for that.I open it with hex editor and thats not a subtitle file.Think soberly subtitle files are text file and for text file that is 10mb the movie has to be more than 48 hours

The *.sub file you posted IS valid subtitle file. But this is image-based subtitle format, NOT SUPPORTED by SMS (anyway, it's not complete - you will need proper *.idx file to open it even on pc). The *.sub file supported by SMS have to be mdvd format ({start ms}{end ms}text), mpl2 format ([start 1s/10][end 1s/10]text) or tmp format (hh:mm:ss:text).

ah i see so the idx and sub as a dependent file so thats why .sub is too large cause it has many supported subtitles thanks for the info anyway

That's not quite how it works. There are two entirely unrelated types of ".sub" files, both of which are used for subtitles. The standalone kind uses a normal ascii text format, just like ".srt" does, though the format is quite different.

But the other ".sub" format does not use any ascii text at all. Instead it is actually a minimized video stream, containing only the picture data forming the subtitle text lines. The ".idx" that's always needed with such a ".sub" contains the timing and indexes for each subtitle 'picture'.

As for multi-language support, I'm not really sure how/if that works. Perhaps someone else can respond on that issue...

    Best regards: dlanor

u can convert the imagebased idx+sub subtitle to textbased subtitles like srt or the other sub format with vobsub.

but beware, the convertprocess isn't fullyautomated, because of the way (OCR) how vobsub converts the subs.
sometimes during the process u have to choose/identify the right letter or sign but it takes not longer than 5 minutes.

    1. download vobsub
    2. install it
    3. choose Subresync
    4. open the idx file
    5. save as srt or sub
    6. support the convertprocess
    7. have fun watching the movie+subs with sms on ur ps2
