Support for 16:9 Display size. Now there is multiple modes for 4:3 screen, but what about 16:9 display? If I choose LetterBox mode for Widescreen (20:9) movie, the black bars are added to set the correct aspect ratio, but only on 4:3 screen. If I choose this mode on 16:9 TV the picture doesn't have correct aspect ratio. As there are more PAN&SCAN modes, there could also be more LetterBox modes which would work on 16:9 TV.

@VanJ: ...same thing as for remote control. I don't have "16:9" TV, sorry...
For this one, you do not need 16:9 TV, just a little bit math.
Example: Movie with resolution 640x480 is 4:3. Typical 16:9 rip is 624x352. So how many line do you have to add to get 4:3 letterbox? (352+X)/624=0.75(the 0.75 is 3/4 from 4:3) , so the X = 624*0.75 - 352 -> X = 116. One half at the top and the second at bottom means 2x58 lines. Now the same with widescreen movie (20:9) to 16:9 screen. Lets say the Widescreen movie is of640x216 resolution. Then the equation is:
(216+X)/640 = 0.45 (0.45 is 9/16 from 16:9). So the X = 640*0.45 - 216 -> X = 72 . Means 36 lines at the top, and 36 lines at bottom.
Generaly the count of lines to be added on each side of movie to get arbitrary letterbox formatting will be:
X = (<horizontal movie res>*(<output screen aspect ratio>^-1) - <vertical movie res>)/2.
Of course the movie has to be "wider" then the screen.
The output screen aspect ratio could be "setupable" in the option menu.

It's just that easy!

Pretty sure diff SCPH# for that one too. Just offering some help if you'd want to attempt to implement this.

Just thought I'd throw it out there
