I found an old source code that does not work on my PS2 (39004) but it should work on other models..
It's macro assembler.. if you want it, drop me an email (zibri AT libero DOT it)
@Zibri: ...I'm in your chatroom now ...
I just read on sny site that inside ps2 hdd utility disc 1.10 there is a DVD PLAYER upgrade to 3.02 that installs on a memory card...
Do you know anything bout it ??
I would like to have the updated DVD PLAYER so I can reverse engineer it (or at least try to)...
Ok, heres my list of bugs...
1. Some mp3 files dont play. The ones that do...well..they sound like shit, they sound garbled. They all play in full stereo sound on reality though.
2. The drive spins way too fast when playing an avi burned onto a cd, could you slow it down?
For complaints of this kind you should provide a test MP3 for each type of playing problem reported. In your case that would mean at least two samples being needed. One for the "don't play" problem, and another for the "garbled" problem. How else can you expect EEUG (or anyone else for that matter) to find out what's wrong ?

Another thing you forgot is to confirm exactly what version of the player you are using. (Mandatory info for all bug reporting, for any software.)

subtitles (.sub or .idx) dont work on sms 1.7 rev 2
Not a bug, sub/idx has not been implemented. Sub (without idx) and srt are the only supported subtitle formats.
Can anyone confirm that if you have the volume set to 0 when u close a movie then the next movie you open the volume bar has no effect and the movie has no sound?
btw this was with 1.7 rev2
@wallacee: .. I can confirm that ...
I've got an idea, lets all sent 1 dollar/euro to EEUG and lets get his PS2 chipped with an MI chip or sumthing. so he can test even more and better
