anyway, a warm reset after change system/mode, wont hurt to avoid those lines, also in the new coming version there is a small fix in mode 2

Good point--that does fix it.Originally Posted by Mr. Worm~~
I found two problems with audio. I'm currently using Rev.8
First, in some movies when I have a "strong bass" it does not play well, looks like I'm in the middle of a war field just like the sound of bullets being fired. I really don't know how to describe the sound... hahaha...
The second, is from a movie that had the audio/video sync problem, it does not have the sync problem anymore but the sound plays with a "tec tec tec" very strange. I just don't know how to describe the sounds. But I'll get the movie properties(resolution, sound encoder, video encoder etc) and post them here later.
Nice for the last two days, I asume that you have problems with mp3 audio...
So to make it easier to find (if possible) please post bitrate and mode (CBR or VBR) in order to stablish a parameter, also an example would be nice...And the big problem is time...
Mr. Worm~~

The first movie audio properties (the war field) :
Audio Stream
Wave Type: 8192 - AC3 Audio
Avg. Bitrate: 448,00 kbit/s
Sample Rate: 48000 Hz
Bit Depth: 0 Bits
Channels: 5
Audio Delay: 0,00 s
The second movie audio properties (the tec tec tec) :
Audio Stream
Wave Type: 85 - MPEG Layer 3
Avg. Bitrate: 64,00 kbit/s
Sample Rate: 24000 Hz
Bit Depth: 0 Bits
Channels: 2
Audio Delay: 0,00 s
I'll try to get an example and post it here.
Thanks a lot, Mr. Worm
@firehawk,
for the first movie, that is not a Xvid + Qpel???
for the second, can you try convert sound to 128kbps / 48000Hz and check if problem persists
Do you have NTSC or PAL console ???
Mr. Worm~~

@Mr. Worm~~
I checked the first movie and it is not Qpel. I used GSpot to verify.
It shows the video as BVOP NVOP. The audio shows:
Codec: 0x2000(AC3, Dolby Laboratories, Inc) AC3
Info: 48000Hz 448 kb/s total (5 chnls) CBR
I will try to get a sample.
About the second movie I'll try to convert the audio and post the results here.
My console is PAL but I use it on a NTSC TV.
Edit:
I converted the audio as you told me and it worked perfectly.![]()

im not saying you dont have a problem, firehawk, but for the record, i use SMS often (once a week), and have never experienced a problem with sound. Maybe this is due to the fact that my movies are quality scene releases. I also have a low spec sound system (just stereo sound out of a hi-fi)
